A productive day. We made over 30 prints, many of which will be exhibited together to create an installation in the gallery space. I was really pleased with the colour combinations and the subtle ways the colours changed as they were layered over each other. Here are some photographs of the final prints.

Progress - some proofs
Excited to be making good progress. Bronwen and I have been making proofs, having narrowed down a colour palette. Today we started creating the actual prints for the installation in my solo show in March. Photos to follow...
Zinc plates etching in copper sulphate and then being stripped of the Photec.
Bronwen inking the plates ready to print.
Registering the plates on the press.
Some of the inked plates were beautiful.
Cutting some of the plates to create contrasting imagery within the circles.
The studio - based in an old washhouse.

First day at Edinburgh Printmakers Studio
An incredible first day at Edinburgh Printmakers Studio working with Bronwen Sleigh on prints for part of my solo exhibition in March
My workspace where I cut the etching plates out using metalworking tools then filed the edges to achieve a smooth curve, and then to chamfer the edge.
